For those of you who know me well, you know that I hate halloween but for the sake of my children, and how cute they look in their costumes, I take part in this evil holiday designed to scare the s*** out of little kids.
We didn't actually go trick or treating on halloween because Zac is scared of the neighborhood we live in and didn't want to venture out into the "ghetto". That was okay by me. I made it very clear to Zac that I wouldn't be doing halloween, or taking them trick-or-treating at least, when we got married. If he wants the kids to go trick-or-treating, other than ward and work activities, then he can take them. Last year was an exception considering Zac was busted up from falling out of a tree.
Thursday my moms work had a trick-or-treat at her work, you know cubicle to cubicle, office to office, which was a lot of fun. There were so many cute little kids there in their cute little outfits, except one of mine. We bought Fat Man a cute little monkey outfit to wear but it turns out that it didn't fit him when we tried to put in on Thursday. It wouldn't zip all the way up and he couldn't straighten his legs all the way. We thought we would just put him it for a few minutes at my moms work and then take him out. But when we got there he was asleep and we didn't feel like trying to squeeze him into the costume again. So we just left him in his white onesie and called him the Michelin man. It was pretty cute even though it wasn't planned at all.
Friday night was the ward trunk-or-treat and luckily, my friend Erin had a turtle costume that she used for her son last year and let us borrow it. Thank you Erin, you were a life saver! It was way to cold for Fat Man to be the Michelin man. Squishy girl was tinker bell and she was so darn cute. She even let me cut he bangs a little bit and she let me do her hair up all nice two days in a row. I was impressed.
Here are the pictures from the work trick-or-treat and the ward trunk-or-treat.
